New York is poised to become the latest state approved for medical marijuana, what with its Governor, Andrew Cuomo, taking the steps to permit hospitals to dispense the pot to selected patients.
State Assemblyman Richard Gottfried said he found out about this during a conversation he had on Saturday with members of the governor’s cabinet.
"I'm thrilled that the governor has taken this action," the assemblyman said. "This is a very key interim step."
