Senator Abdullahi Adamu has expressed the need for Nigerians to be careful and not to make the mistake of assuming that everyone who rears cattle is Fulani.
He recently said this at the The Northern Senators Forum on Wednesday where he also cautioned state governors and groups against making inflammatory comments about clashes between herdsmen and farmers.
The Nassarawa born lawmaker explained that rearing of cows is not exlusive for the fulanis, as there are so many young people of other ethnic origin also in the cow business.
Adamu attributed this to his recent trips to the South West, and South Eastern parts of the country. He therefore urged Nigerians to be careful of hateful comments that could label and unjustly stigmatise a particular ethnic group.
