Metro High Court Judge Teaches Primary School

A retired High court Judge in Kebbi State, Hon. Justice Zakari Gulma, 62 teaches primary schools as his new found hobby after retirement from the justice system. Gulma had served as a teacher 10 years prior to joining the judiciary sector.

He stated that his love for teaching in village primary schools enables him to contribute to improving the education system in Nigeria, considering the issues with ASUU and the federal government, amongst other issues in education.

His quest for knowledge propelled him to study law and become a Judge, serving 19 years on the bench. He stated that it was enough for the government to build more schools, but qualified and competent teachers need to be employed as well.
