The Director-General, National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Prof John Idoko, has complained about the fact that many Nigerians are still uninformed about HIV/AIDS , despite its prevalence in the country.
He added that Nigeria is the second largest country of people living with the dreaded disease and he urged
journalists to update their facts on HIV/AIDS in order to give accurate reports on latest developments on the disease.
However, he praised the media for playing a significant role in promoting messages targeted at behavioral change among Nigerians.
