Sports Homebased Eagles rewarded with N1million each by President Jonathan

Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan,on Thursday at the Aso Villa hosted the homebased Eagles to a reception where he announced cash rewards for the team.

Following their achievement at the African Nations Championship(CHAN)where they finished third,president Jonathan gave each player a cash reward of N1million.

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi got the largest amount,with the gaffer rewarded with N1.5million by the president.

The assistant coaches were each rewarded with N1million,while other members of the backroom staff got N500,000 each.

Nigeria made its maiden appearance at the CHAN tournament,that is strictly for only homebased players,beating Zimbabwe to clinch bronze at the competition in South Africa.

The Eagles would be looking towards securing qualification for the next edition taking place in Rwanda,and hoping to go a step further.
