Factional president of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Okoronkwo, has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari's decision to appoint himself as the country's Petroleum Minister.

In an interview published on the TelegraphOnline, he said it is "the Lord’s doing that President Buhari has taken over the ministry. People outside would not know what has been going on in the sector but we stakeholders know the rot and the impunity that are going on."

"Since the coming on board of President Buhari, with his body language every, stakeholder is now playing by the rule. There is now transparency in the whole system. So, the situa-tion where petroleum products were hoarded in the past and people demanding one thing or the other, that era is gone. Because of the transparency they have seen in the body language of president, the product is now available.
