Many do not think much of the song that goes, “Some have food but cannot eat, some can eat but have no food,” but indeed there is a lot of truth to it. Ask IDPs in the Northeastern region of Nigeria.
Over 6,779 metric tonnes of rice was donated to the IDPs by the good people of China, and guess what? The precious food was not donated until they had started going stale. We all know how long it takes for rice to go stale.
