Sports Ifeanyi Ubah Elected as Anambra State FA Chairman

CEO of Capital Oil, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi ubah has emerged as chairman of Anambra State Football Association.

Ubah, who succeded Chief Mike Umeh as boss of the state FA is the President and sole financier of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, side FC Ifeanyiubah.

The election took place at Creek Hotel, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, Tuesday May 3, 2016 after nearly two years in suspense following bickering between Chief Mike Umeh’s faction and the faction led by JBC Obikwelu.

The business mogul polled 24 votes. Jude Obikwelu emerged the new Vice Chairman, while the following persons were also elected into the board of the Anambra State Football Association from the zones: Amuzie Cyprian Chibuike, Udennanka Anthony Bebeto (Anambra Central); Amene Joe Ifeanyi, Emeka Raphael Udoka, Uduh Kingsley (Anambra North) and; Ifepe Edward Adah, Albert Chinye Theodore (Anambra South).

Chairman of the Anambra State Election Monitoring Committee, E. C. Chukwuemeka confirmed the results yesterday.
