Acting Inspector General of Police IGP, in his first official outing since his appointment, has warned all rank and file of officers of the Force against extra judicial killings saying human lives are very precious.
IGP Idris Speaking at the passing out parade of squadron commanders Operation Course Os/2016, held at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Forest Camp, Ila Orangun,Osun state, the IG also charged the officers to shun any act that may lead to divide and rule in the force.
He said he personally observed ethnicity, favoritism in police force, warning if complaints of favoritism or ethnicity are received against any commander, such would be treated with uttermost seriousness to preserve the unity of the Force.
He warned of severe sanctions against any attempt to segregate the force along religious or ethnic lines, with an assurance to properly restructure Police Mobile Force to affectively discharge its duties.
