Independiente turns down help from Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero’s offer to help recruit five players for his club,Independiente has been turned by the Argentine clubside.
The Manchester City striker was said to have offered to bail out his former club,who got relegated from the Argentinian top flight into the Nacional B,but Independiente did accept the offer.
Aguero was said to be willing to not only sign these five players,but would also pay their wages,in order to make them more competitive.
His father Leonel Aguero,while speaking at an Independiente fans’ forum,revealed that his son offered to foot the bill but he never received a reply from the club.
“Sergio offered to buy five players and take over their salaries. We asked (Independiente assistant manager) Carlos Squeo for a list of players but we don’t know anything because no one called – not Squeo, not (head coach, Miguel Angel) Brindisi,” Aguero senior said.
“There’s no leadership. I feel there is a slight against Sergio,” he added.
Aguero was registered in the books of Independiente at the age of nine and became the youngest player to play in the Argentine league top-flight at the age of 15.
