The newly approved National Automobile Industry Development Plan, NAIDP, may have started to yield the expected result as two vehicle manufacturing companies from India, TATA Motors and TVS Motors have indicated interests to establish automotive plants in Nigeria
It was said that top management executives of both companies visited the headquarters office of the National Automotive Council, NAC, with a view to obtaining all the needed technical details, administrative requirements and guidelines towards the setting up of vehicle industrial plants.
Apart from the two Indian firms, other reputable core investors, including Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Yutong and Geely were said to have indicated interests to establish plants in Nigeria.
