It is a well known fact that previous versions of Instagram for iOS and Android do not have the zoom feature for both photos and videos. However, the latest update has resolved the issue as Instagram for iOS now allows to zoom photos and videos.
On older versions, trying to pinch-zoom a picture ends up with you liking the post but this is no longer a problem. In the new updates, all you need to do to zoom is to pinch your photos or videos and the posts get zoomed. This new feature, as one would expect, not only works with photos but with video content as well. It is also applicable to any piece of content on your feed, profiles, and Explore tab.
The feature was released yesterday for the Instagram for iOS today, but the announcement says Android users shouldn’t expect to do any zooming for another couple weeks.
