The Cable reports that it has reason to believe that speaker for the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is set to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for All Progressives Party (APC) in anticipation of the 2015 elections.
The Cable says: "He will defect to the APC just in time to express interest in the presidential ticket of the opposition party, a member of the house of reps told TheCable on Sunday. Parties are scheduled to hold their presidential conventions in October, going by the timetable for the 2015 elections drawn up by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Tambuwal gave the biggest hint yet about his planned defection on Sunday in his hometown, Tambuwal, Sokoto State, where he went to pick his permanent voter’s card."
