ASG-024904 (1).jpg Italian midfielder, Daniele De Rossi, has condemned his teammates for the country's exit from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

This makes it second time in a row that Italy will be ousted from the finals and not make it to the Round 16 when Uruguay fought for a 1-0 win on Tuesday in the their Group D fixture.

Italy's coach, Cesare Prandelli has resigned after the consecutive defeats, but De Rossi took a swipe at compatriot, Mario Balloteli, for loss of concentration also for posting a collection of Panini with stickers in each slot via twitter.

"There were certainly components that affected the result, like the heat or the refereeing, but we must not cling to these things.

"We must forget about all this quickly. Actually, I take that back: we should remember well what went wrong and begin again with real men.

"We need real men, not Panini stickers or characters. These are of no use to the Nazionale."

Meanwhile captain, Gianluigi Buffon, thinks it is time to have personal reflections about 'conscience' and input.

"As a group and as a nation, it is a very sad day.

"It is a day of failure and is something that saddens us very much.

"(The loss) should make us all think and let us take a good examination of our conscience."
