Politics Jonathan Appoints Ibrahim Bukar as New Chief Justice of Abuja

President Goodluck Jonathan, through the Acting Director (Information), National Judicial Council (NJC) in Abuja on Friday has issued a statement appointing Justice Ibrahim Bukar as the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the statement said that Bukar was appointed following the recommendation of the NJC under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Aloma Mukhtar.

The statement added that the appointment was also sequel to confirmation by the Senate.
