Former member, House of Representatives, Dino Melaye on Wednesday said that President Goodluck Jonathan didn't say anything new in the 2014 Independence day broadcast.

Melaye made the claim on while leading an anti-government protest in Abuja.

According to VANGUARD, the protesters who were drawn from Melaye's newly formed Citizens Arise Movement of Nigeria,CAMON, went round the street chanting different slogans against the Federal Government.

Addressing journalists during the protest, Melaye said, "I want to say that the president’s speech this morning (yesterday) is not different from the one he has been giving before. It has become a normal tradition. Unfortunately, the President addressed the nation this morning, the 54th birthday of Nigeria and he did not say anything about the missing Chibok girls. This is calamitous and, painful.
