Former Minister of State for Defence, under former President, Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, will be officially defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The politician confirmed the developmemt to Channels Television, noting that he would be declaring his defection officially in Lagos at the weekend.
Obanikoro has been seen recently at gatherings of APC chieftains and it was reported that the Ọba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu broke the peace between him and the Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Obanikoro was a minister under the Goodluck Jonathan administration and was in the running for the Lagos state governorship seat in 2015 but lost the ticket to Jimi Agbaje.
He was also once a staunt critic of Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Lagos arrangement after the collapse of the first democratic party in Lagos when he was appointed as Lagos Island council chairman.
