Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi west senatorial district has showered praises on the department of State security services, DSS and his bullet-proof car for saving him during the gun duel that happened in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.
On Monday, no fewer than five persons were shot at at the gate of Kogi State polytechnic, Lokoja where senator Dino Melaye was holding a protest against the state government, Vanguard gathered.
The protest which stated around 11am turned bloody when gunmen yet to be identified invaded the venue of protest.
The Kogi senator, who took to Twitter after the attack said: “There was serious exchange of gun shots between d DSS, policemen and government assassins.
“DSS I thank u for saving my life after God.
“I thank God for my bullet proof car”, he said.
