Mr Sim Shagaya,The Chief Executive Officer of online shopping website, Konga.com,believes online shopping firms can experience tremendous growth despite the challenges faced in the nation.
Shagaya, who was honoured as the Entrepreneur of the Year at the CNBC/All Africa Business Leaders Award in West Africa,said
that despite challenges like poor road network,lack of trust in online transaction, the industry was set to reform the way Nigerians buy and sell.
He used Konga.com as an example of company has built a system by which buyers and sellers find each other and trade goods and money, providing remarkable levels of retail convenience, choice and customer satisfaction. He said one of the strengths of Konga was its understanding of Nigerians
He said a key strength of Konga’s operations was in its understanding of the Nigerian people and its focus.
