Authorities at the Kuje Prisons in Abuja will carry out forensic tests on phones seized from inmates during a recent riot, an official has stated.
According to reports, 25 mobile phones were seized during the riot.
The test will allow the authorities to determine who the inmates had been communicating with while in custody.
Any officer indicted for bringing the prohibited materials in for the inmates would be sanctioned, the official added.
