Mr. Olumuyiwa Adebambo, one of the victims of an accident that occurred at U-turn Bus Stop, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, was buried last week Friday after he was hit by a truck while the truck was trying to avoid the convoy of the Kwara State Governor’s wife, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed.
Needless to say, the convoy was not ordered to wait to make sure that the chaos of their recklessness was not fatal, but continued on. There were no government representatives at the funeral. Mrs. Adeola Olanrewaju, the Public Relations Officer of Lagos Cheshire Home and Services, has described Adebambo as a “sacrificial lamb” and her heart goes out to the disabled children formerly in Adebambo's care who have embarked on an hunger strike due to the injustice and senseless death of their caretaker.
Adebambo died due to a shortage of blood while he was being taken to the hospital after he was hit.
