According to Vanguard, the closure of the road at the Ajah roundabout end of the Lekki-Epe Expressroad, would elapse at the completion of the project.

Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ganiyu Johnson, said that the completion of the project would alleviate the gridlocks often experienced by motorists in Ajah and its environs.

According to him, “The State Government appeals for caution and co-operation from all road users by obeying all traffic regulations and ensuring free flow of traffic during the construction period.”

He also directed “all relevant agencies to ensure free flow of traffic” within the axis. Also to cushion the effect of the closure, he disclosed that the state government has made several diversion/alternative roads available to motorist plying the ever busy road.
