Politics Lawmaker Urges Nigerian Military to Employ More Scientific Strategies in Tackling Insurgency

A member of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ismaila Gadaka on Wednesday in Abuja called on security operatives to adopt a more scientific approach in tackling insurgency in Nigeria.

Gadaka, (APC-Yobe), told newsmen that there must also be a political will on the part of both the federal and state Governments to effectively check activities of insurgents in the country.

He attributed the recent abduction of school girls in Chibok to security lapses within and around the school.

``If the insurgents knew that there were military men at the school premises, they would not have gone there to abduct the girls,” he said.

The legislator further urged the government to provide adequate security in schools saying that the insurgents had beamed their searchlight on schools.
