Here are the top parties' candidates:

1. All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA- Chief Willie Obiano (incumbent governor)
2. All Progressives Congress, APC - Dr. Tony Nwoye
3. Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, - Mr. Oseloka Obaze
4. Progressives Peoples’ Alliance, PPA - Mr. Godwin Ezeemo
5. United Peoples Party, UPP - Chief Osita Chidoka.
