While we await updates from wards yet to compute the votes (the scene is rowdy at Afor Agulu Square, Awka South, the largest ward in Anambra state, as voters anxiously await the counting of votes), there have been reports of political parties bribing people to change their votes in their favor. People who could show with their voters' cards that they voted for the party were given cash in return.

When police officers were contacted to stop the trend, the policemen replied that their job was crowd control, and nothing else. People believed to be from PDP were spotted paying voters N1000 for their votes, while suspected APGA people paid N500.

Not much is happening at the INEC headquarters at Anambra, by the way, as they await all results from the local governments before the final compilation can be made...

APC is claiming that voting did not take place in the party's strongholds of Idemili North and South, as well as Akwa South

yes...very interesting. Alot going down in Anambra. You should see this El-Rufia story
Yup...that was covered here earlier today. The SSS Official said he was kept under house arrest for his own safety. Who knows better, eh?

Gov. Obi also threw a tantrum on AIT, saying were it left to him, he would bundle El-rufai out of Anambra state, and 'does he think this is Kaduna?'

he has been set free.... seems PDP is out of the Anambra guber race

Irregularity claims emerging : PDP candidate Tony Nwoye did not vote because his name was missing in the voter’s register at his Nsugbe Ward 1 polling booth in Anambra East Local Government Area, hence he could not vote.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rescheduled election in 65 wards in Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area for Sunday.

Voting could not hold in the wards due to late arrival of materials and other logistics challenges.

Electoral Commissioner (REC) Prof Chukwuemeka Onukogu made the announcement in a statement issued in Awka on Saturday.

The statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer Frank Egbo said the rescheduling was due to “challenges of logistics” in the areas.

“Any inconveniences are highly regretted,” the statement added.

Onukogu said the rescheduled election will hold at Obosi Registration Area, Ward 07.

The election will hold between 8am and 12.30pm.

INEC urged all parties to get ready for the poll.

More journalists arrive collation centre located inside INEC headquarters. Electronic reporters set up their cameras. The centre has been divided into various sections -political party agents, LG Collation Officers, Local/Foreign

Apparently, we will not be getting the results tonight. I hear that Two LGAs didn't get voting materials, so the voting continues tomorrow.

Good job on the updates so far, jules, curator and vunderkind. Will I be celebrating too early if I say APC is the winner?
