Liverpool rejects Arsenal’s second bid for Suarez

The pursuit of Arsenal for Luis Suarez,has hit a snag,as the club’s second bid was once again turned down by Liverpool.
Liverpool rejected the second improved offer from Arsenal which was just over £40m for Luis Suarez,in a bid to activate his buy-out clause.
But the move,irked Liverpool’s owner,John Henry,who went on Twitter and said: “What do you think they’re smoking over there at Emirates?” possibly making reference to the bid by Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger’s side have seen their chase for Real Madrid striker,Gonzalo Higuain,evaporate,after the Argentine reached a deal with Italian side,Napoli.
Meanwhile it is understood that Suarez has told Liverpool,that he wants to meet with Arsenal to negotiate terms on a personal deal,believing that they have met the requirements in the clause of his contract.
Arsenal made a bid of £40,000,001,as the clause states that a fee of over £40m meets the valuation of Suarez,but Liverpool are not relenting on letting go of their star player,who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season.
Should the deal go through,Arsenal will be shattering their transfer record,which was set during the acquisition of Andrey Arshavin for £15m from Zenith St Petersburg.
