Sports Liverpool To Name Jurgen Klopp New Manager On Friday

Liverpool are expected to name former Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp as their new manager if both sides agree on terms of the job.

The Reds fired Brendan Rodgers, who felt disappointed that the club did not give him enough time after his last weekend's 1-1 against Everton in a mercyside derby.

Meanwhile, Klopp has been on holidays since quitting his German bundesliga side last summer, hoping to stay a year without a job, but it seems Liverpool are doing their best to bait the German from holding on for the Bayern Munich job next summer.

Klopp became the club's favourites after what they considered awesome, his records at Dortmund, making them challenge Bayern and also helping them reach the UEFA champions league final, which they lost to their bundesliga rival, Bayern in 2013.

If he does take over at Anfield he is expected to bring his former Dortmund assistant, Bosnian Zeljko Buvac, with him. Buvac is known as 'The Brain' due to his tactical knowledge and Klopp has described him as a "master of every form of training".

The pair have known each other since 1992 when they were team-mates at Mainz. After their playing career, Klopp appointed Buvac as his assistant when he took over at Mainz in 2001.

Klopp could also bring another of his former Dortmund coaches with him. Peter Krawietz, who never played professional football, specialises as a video analyst.

In his time at Dortmund, having joined in May 2008, Klopp ended their nine-year wait for a Bundesliga title, winning the German top division in 2011 and in 2012, when they won a league and cup double, but Klopp struggled in his final season in charge and the team ended up finishing seventh.
