A 70-year-old man, Ilesanmi Akamo, was on Wednesday brought before an Ebute Meta chief Magistrates’ Court for the alleged rape of an eight-year-old girl.
The accused had appeared before the court on a charge for having carnal knowledge of a minor.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin, the prosecutor insisted that the accused had committed the offence on Jan. 14, at 4.00 p.m., inside LASTMA compound at Iponri.
