Metro Many Feared Dead as Gunmen Raid Bureau de Change in Adamawa State

The commercial border town of Mubi in Adamawa State has suffered casualties due to a raid orchestrated by gunmen targeting bureaux de change in the area around 2pm in the afternoon.

Eyewitness report states that the armed gunmen were no less than 20 in number, storming the market together as they headed to the area where foreign exchange trade were being made.

“They fired sporadically and saw four people in pools of their blood. They ransacked the shops and escaped on foot using the road that led to the river not too far from the market.”

Idris Maraba, another eyewitness also recounted to Vanguard newspaper that he had counted eight people being rushed to the hospital, their status of living yet unknown.
