Kano Pillars and Mark Mentors have progressed to the final of the 2015 DSTV final 8 championship ongoing at the indoor sports hall of the national stadium in Lagos.
Mark Mentors defeated the only Atlantic Conference side to have made it to the semi's, Union Bank 68-53, in the first semi final of the championship.
The Mentors dominated the entire 1st quarter of the game with Union Bank performing as if nothing was at stake.
The Bankers managed to up their game in the 2nd quarter but their best wasn't good enough as the Mentors still kept a 13 points lead advantage into the 3rd quarter.
Possession swung to the side of the Atlantic Conference side as they managed to close the gap in the third quarter with the hopes of turning the tides around but they lacked the depth enough to withstand the Mentors, who took charge of the the 4th quarter and sealed their spot in the final.
Kano Pillars recorded a slim win over fellow Savanna Conference side, Gombe Bulls in the 2nd semi final of the championship.
Pillars, who did not lose any of their games enroute the final scheduled for Friday beat the Bulls 67-63 on Thursday evening.
The Kano outfit proved they deserved to be in the final as they forced their opponents to surrender their slim lead few minutes to the end of the 4th quarter.
The final game will now be between Mark Mentors and Kano Pillars, an all Savanna Conference final will be played by 4pm while the 3rd and 4th place game would have come earleir the same day.
