Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has stated that his side is fighting to beat Real Madrid to the La Liga title.
Barcelona moved to the top of the table on Sunday after beating Madrid 3-2 at the Bernabeu, although the hosts still have a game in hand.
Speaking on Monday, Messi, who scored 2 goals in el clasico said Barcelona will fight for the league title.
"We went to the Bernabeu looking for a win to keep ourselves in the battle for the La Liga title," Messi wrote on his official Facebook account.
"There is still a long way to go, but we came away with the joy of having taken an important step."
Barcelona next will face Osasuna on Wednesday at home, while Madrid travel to Deportivo La Coruna.
