US Vice President-elect Mike Pence got a rude shock last week when he went to theater to watch Hamilton.
Pence was greeted with very little applause and a lot of boos when he stepped into the theater. After the show ended, Pence received a tough lecture from Hamilton actor, Brandon Dixon when he tried to sneak out.
Dixon noticed Pence tried to sneak out and stopped him, “We hope you will hear us out,” he said before lecturing the VP-elect.
“We have a message for you sir and we hope you will hear us out…Vice President-elect Pence we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us at Hamilton an American musical, we really do. We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf all of us. All of us,” Dixon said.
The audience broke out in enthusiastic applause and cheers. Meanwhile, President-elect, Donald Trump has lashed out at the Hamilton cast, demanding an apology on behalf of Pence.
