Sports Ministry Of Health Clear Sierra Leone To Host Ivory Coast In Nigeria- NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation have assured Nigerians that the Sierra Leone versus Ivory Coast game will not pose any danger.

This information was released by the NFF general secretary, Sanusi Mohammed after the nation's FA granted Sierra Leone the permission to play their September 6 AFCON 2017 qualifiers in Nigeria.

He said, "I can confirm to you that Sierra Leone have requested to play their AFCON qualifiers in our country.

"And we have taken the request to the ministry of health who have given their blessings that the Leone Stars are free to come and play in Nigeria."

Mohammed added that the NFF have offered them Lagos or Port Harcourt to use as a match venue.

"We have offered the Lagos or Port Harcourt to play their matches, so It’s up to them to choose where they would prefer."

Though, a new case of Ebola was detected in Sierra Leone, they are waiting on the World Health Organisation to certify them clean to be able to host games at home.
The also played most of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers in neighboring country, Abidjan due to the same
