Dr Eunice Iliya, Special Adviser on Christian Religious Affairs to Taraba government, has expressed concern over the misunderstanding between the state acting Gov. Garba Umar and the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Addressing a press conference on Saturday in Jalingo, Iliya promised to resolve the misunderstanding between the two parties.

Bishop TimothyYahaya, CAN chairman in the state on Thursday in Jalingo accused the acting governor of sponsoring the ongoing crisis in Wukari and other parts of the state.

However Mr Aron Atimas, Special Adviser to the acting governor on Media dismissed the accusation, saying Umar was working hard to put an end to the crisis.

Iliya, who expressed sadness at the development, appealed to both parties to embrace dialogue, saying dialogue would restore peace to the state.

Bishop Charles Yohana, the Chairman of Taraba Peace Initiative, who also spoke on the issue urged both parties to embrace dialogue to ensure peaceful co-existence.
