The National Chairman of the PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, in his Easter message, said every Nigerian should learn from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“As we remember the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we should draw a lesson from his resurrection and rise above the challenges we currently face as a country.
He also added that he is doing all in his power to "make PDP great again."
“As a party, we are working hard to reposition ourselves so that the good governance that the PDP is known for 16 years would be made available for the betterment of our countrymen and women.
“This is not time to despair, but to come together as one strong party to take over the reins of leadership at the national and state levels.
“We cannot allow the desperation of a few of our renegade members to distract us from the bigger task ahead.
“We must put on our positive thinking caps, ginger our acclaimed spirit of innovation, rise above our challenges and get our party working again.
“We must let our detractors know that the fate of millions of our supporters cannot be tied to the whims and caprices of a few shenanigans.
“On my part, I am committed to taking the party back to its rightful owners, the hardworking Nigerian people so that our party can be great again.”
