In a move that would shock consumers of the telecommunication, yet probably not the investors, the company has been accreditted by the Investors in People (IiP) Governing Board, United Kingdom, as an Investor in People organisation. MTN Nigeria is the first company in West Africa and the first in the MTN Group to be awarded this status of honour.
The assessment of MTN Nigeria was carried out by a team of LiP assessors from the UKand their findings resulted in awarding the company this very pretigious accolade.
The assessment does not take into account a company's business or financial standards, but deals in assessing the company's Employee Value Proposition. Needless to say, MTN Nigeria may have deserved this award, despite what nay sayers and critics may say otherwise.
