The emergence of Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have put former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in a quandary over his political future.

Atiku, who is being wooed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), it was gathered yesterday, is at a crossroad whether to remain in PDP or accept the opposition party’s offer to be its member.

Before the emergence of Mu’azu as PDP chair, Atiku who along with other chieftains of the ruling party nursed grudges over the way Mu’azu’s predecessor, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, was running the party, had written APC, seeking more time to consult his associates before deciding on its offer.

THISDAY learnt that Atiku had begun the consultation, which had taken him to London, Dubai, the United Arab Emirate (UAE) and Abuja to sound out his associates and other stakeholders on whether he should join APC or give PDP the chance to address his grievances.
