Risqua Mohammed, son Nigeria's former military ruler, Murtala Mohammed, has declared interest in contesting the Kano State governorship election in 2015 when Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso's tenure expires.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that Mohammed made his declaration on Sunday. He said he was under pressure to from the people of Kano to contest and he had no option but to heed calls from the people to free the state from decades of lack of progress.
