Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi west senatorial district has described President Muhammadu Buhari 2018 budget proposal as unrealistic.
Melaye stated this on Wednesday contributing to the 2018 budget debate at the plenary.
The senators also took turn to make inputs and amendments into the appropriation bill submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari early November.
He said: “The N8.26trillion budget is not realistic, must we begin every year to propose a budget that is not realistic?’
“Benchmark at $45 per barrel is to low, I propose a benchmark of $50 per barrel.”
