Two aides of the Nasarawa state governor, Tanko Al-Makura have resigned their appointments.

According to a statement issued in Lafia on Sunday by the Secretary to the State Government, Hajiya Zainab Abdulmumin.

Those affected are Hajiya Hajara Ibrahim, Special Adviser to the governor on Inter Party and Gender Relations and the Managing Director of Nasarawa Transport Service, Mr Philip Iyakwari.

No reason was given for their action, but the statement said Gov. Al-Makura had accepted the resignations with effect from November 1.

It said that the governor commended the officers for their selfless service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours. (NAN)
