Sports NBA: Lamar Odom to play in Spain

Former Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers player, Lamar Odom, has agreed an overseas deal to start plying his services at Spanish club, Laboral Kutxa (also known as Saski Baskonia).

At the press conference on friday, to welcome the two-time NBA champion, Odom expressed his motivation to play in the franchise, “A new beginning. A new environment was important for me.”

“I got to play in the incredible city of L.A. and win championships and play with players like Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, coached by Phil Jackson and Pat Riley [in Miami].

"Then sometimes you get to a point in your life where less is more.”

Odom had a 14 NBA career statistics averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebound and 3.7 assists through 14 NBA seasons (six with the Lakers).

He played for the Los Angeles Clippers, original franchise that drafted him in 1999 in his last season.
