NEMA develops disaster recovery strategy ahead of 2013 flooding

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has developed a National Disaster Recovery Strategy and Framework (NDRSF) and began special training on Camp Coordination and Camp Management for the stakeholders to strengthen preparations ahead of the predicted 2013 flood and other disasters.

The Director General Mohummed Sani Sidi, represented by Daniel Balarabe Gambo, Director Training said that the document was drafted to supplement existing policies, address the menace of flood and proffer a way to avert the likely risks of flood in 2013.

He added that the training is meant for State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMAs) which will happen in Lagos for the Southern states and Akwanga, Nassarawa State for the North.
