Politics New Zealand Government Opposes Russia Anti-Gay Policies

New Zealand Government has expressed her displeasure with Russia’s new law that totally opposes same sex marriage in the country. In the legislation, Russia placed ban on gay athletes who will be competing in the School Winter Olympics which will come up next year.

The New Zealand Government spokesman, who is also the Foreign Minister, Murray McCully said his government believes that sexual preferences should not be used to select athletes that will compete in a competition but the necessary abilities.

Never thought I would say/type this, but I agree with New Zealand on this one. How does someone's sexual preference come into his sport? Please, be anti-gay, but let your anti-gay laws know their place.
