The editor of the Chattanooga Times Free Press who criticized the job plan of President Barack Obama is now out of a job.

Drew Johnson’s editorial, which was titled “Take your jobs plan and shove it, Mr. President: Your Policies have armed Chattanooga enough,” went viral and drew a lot of reactions when the president visited the city earlier this week.

The newspaper, on Thursday, fired Johnson, saying he placed a headline and an editorial “outside of normal editing procedures”

Johnson, who had been working for the newspaper company for a little over a year, responded in a tweet, saying: “I just became the first person in the history of newspapers to be fired for writing a paper’s most-read article”.
