A list of 66 players have been made available to Amodu Shaibu to select those he wants from for the forthcoming 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.
Amodu on Tuesday met with the technical department of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) and after the meeting it emerged that he has called up a mammoth number of players for the games.
The list comprises of both foreign and local based players, and Amodu is expected to prune it and make his final choice.
“What the technical department has done for me is very good, they have just provided me with a list of 66 players to pick from,” Amodu said.
“I will hold meetings with my technical team with a view to fashioning out how we can pick the remaining six points. It is not for me alone to do the work, it is for all of us,” he added.
It is understood that the likes of Ikechukwu Uche,Obafemi Martins and Chinedu Ogbuke have been included in the list.
The list is expected to be announced soon by the NFF.
