The officials of the Nigerian Football Federation have disclosed that the NFF are on the verge of committing the country's U-23 team, the "dream team" in to the hands of former Super Eagles assistant coach Fatai Amoo.
The former Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan seems to be the only one who applied for the job, and as such has now been confirmed as the sole candidate NFF have pencilled down for for the job.
"Fatai Amoo was here for the interview to take charge as U23 team coach. He has been pencilled down for the job. He is the only one for the job," Emmanuel Ikpeme said.
The NFF is expected to make an official announcement of Amoo’s appointment as the new coach of the U-23 team very soon.
Amoo has handled various clubs including 3SC, Sunshine Stars and First Bank of Lagos.
