Metro NGO Educates Youths on Green Entrepreneurship

A Non- governmental organisation, Young Volunteers for Environment, YVE last week held a summer camp for secondary school children in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.

The summer camp was organized to educate and enlighten Nigerian youths on Green entrepreneurship.

According to the organizers, “Green Entrepreneurship project is aimed at exposing young people to Green Businesses, sensitizing communities to be much more conscious of their environment and raising people who would be agents of change in their various communities”

Seyi Olawuyi, the Executive Director of the organization encouraged the over 60 participants to be "agents of change and promoters of sustainable environment in their various communities, especially at this time when various reports pose a serious danger to our environment".

Participants at the workshop include students from secondary and tertiary institutions, members of the young volunteers for environment in Nigeria, communities' leaders, among others.

Resource persons are CEO of Taiwo Adewole & Associates, Mr Amoo Alabi-Waste management consultant, Mr Odewumi Seyi -Renewable Energy Consultant which the help of Dream Maker Foundation, RecyclePoints Ltd, Charis School, Ibadan and others.
