Not less than four people were died in a road accident that occurred at Lakwame village in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State along Gombe -Yola Federal Highway.
The Gombe State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Ahmed Usman said the fatal accident occurred yesterday.
Usman said the accident involved a white Mark Trailer with registration number JJJ 624 JLX driven by one Ibrahim Aminu of Minna Niger State and a ash colour Vectra car ash.
He said the vehicles were coming from two different directions. At Lakwame village, the trailer developed mechanical fault before leaving it's lane and had a head on collusion with the Vectra car.
Usman said four persons including the driver of the Vectra died and their corpses were deposited at a mortuary in Kaltungo General Hospital.
He said investigation has commenced over the incident and advised the public to observe traffic rules to avoid accidents.
