Abductors of the Sierra Leonean Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Maj.-Gen. Alfred Nelson (retd.) have demanded a N44m ransom, an unconfirmed report from Punch says.
Nelso was on Thursday abducted with his driver along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway in Abuja. He was heading to Kaduna for an event at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
Punch added that a Note Verbale (official diplomatic correspondence) had been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inform the Federal Government about the incident.
