Inmates at the Kuje prison have expressed surprise and are in shock to see that former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro is now one of them.
Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday remanded the former minister in prison over his alleged complicity in a N676million job scam. He was reportedly brought to the prison around 12 pm on Monday and made to undergo the standard procedures for inmates.
The inmates on seeing the ex minister were shocked. Many of them were also excited and curious to know what led to his detention.
They were particularly amazed to see Moro in prison custody barely one year after he visited the facility as the interior minister, The Nation said.
